Habemus Papam! We have a Pope!
The Cardinals gathered in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel and elected Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost as the 267th Pope, who took the name Pope Leo XIV.

Wondering what happens during a papal conclave? When a pope passes or resigns, cardinals from around the world gather in the Sistine Chapel to elect a new pope. The process is steeped in centuries of tradition—complete with secret ballots, deep prayer, and even a smoke signal! Black smoke means no decision yet; white smoke means… We have a pope!

The South County Kiwanis Club honored 8th grader Estelle as an “all-around” outstanding student. Daily, Estelle goes out of her way to bring a smile to other people. She’s a great student who works hard for her grades and has a kind word for everyone she meets. Estelle is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, Horton's Heroes, Mini Vinnies, and SFA Broadway.
We are proud of you, Estelle!

Thank you to our friend Miles, who purchased a snowball fight and popsicles with his LiveSchool Points. The fourth grade (and their teachers) had a blast chasing each other around the gym with snowballs.

On Friday, the Middle School students participated in a poverty simulation. They received different designations of income and education. During each round, they had to figure out how to get transportation, housing, and food while receiving a life card, which could help or hurt their situation. We are thrilled they could participate in this impactful simulation.
