Parish School of Religion (PSR) Coordinator

Position Opening 2026-2027

Our parish is seeking a faith-filled, enthusiastic leader to serve as our Parish School of Religion (PSR) Coordinator. This vital ministry role calls for someone with a deep love for the Catholic faith and a passion for forming young disciples.

The PSR Coordinator will lead and support our catechists in their shared mission: helping students grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith and fostering in them a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will be committed to nurturing a vibrant catechetical program that inspires both heart and mind, equips families to live their faith at home, and builds a strong foundation rooted in Scripture, Tradition, and the teachings of the Church.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Recruiting, forming, and supporting catechists

Developing and overseeing PSR curriculum and sacramental preparation

Collaborating with parish staff and clergy

Communicating effectively with parents and families

Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and faith-centered learning environment

Qualified candidates should demonstrate:

A strong, practicing Catholic faith

Leadership and organizational skills

Experience in catechesis, education, or parish ministry (preferred)

A heart for evangelization and discipleship
