As a Reading Interventionist, I work closely with the teachers to assist students who need extra support in reading. My goal is to find ways to identify their strengths and weaknesses and build upon them making them successful readers. I prepare lessons that are fun and engaging and I want my students to enjoy the learning process.

I received a BS in Education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. I’ve worked at St. Francis for over 30 years in various capacities. I taught third grade for 14 years. I’ve been the K-2 Reading Interventionist for the last 7 years.

My husband Dan & I have been married for 48 years and have a son and daughter who are both graduates of SFA. I love spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren. I enjoy vacationing with my family and being able to attend my grandchildren's activities. I love animals and have a Golden Doodle and a Labrador Retriever that we rescued.

I feel privileged to be a part of such a warm and caring community of teachers and families. SFA is a special place that provides our students with the best learning opportunities, a strong faith in God, and instills a desire to help those less fortunate.
