Mrs. Jane Vonder Haar

Hello!  I am Mrs. Vonder Haar and Welcome to the St. Francis of Assisi Art Room!  I am fortunate to work with Preschool monthly, and Kindergarten through Middle School electives weekly.   I love being able to work with students to inspire a love of art and to discover what amazing art they can create.

I have created art from an early age.  I still have the first piece of clay I made in kindergarten!  I attended the University of Central Missouri, BS in Graphic Arts.

I attend art workshops and professional development days to engage with other art teachers across the county.

My husband and I have two children, both alumni of St. Francis of Assisi School.  We enjoy traveling, kayaking and camping.

I have been thrilled to be at St. Francis for the past five years. The Art Room is a great place filled with the smell of tempera paint.  Clay, paper mache , wire, paper and cardboard and yarn fill the shelves.  More choices exist to add color with pencils, ink, markers, colored pencils, crayons, color sticks, chalk pastels, and oil pastels.  Creativity abounds as the students sketch, paint, weave, sculpt, and draw their masterpieces.
