Meet Mrs. Klages

Hello! I am Mrs. Klages, and welcome to St. Francis of Assisi’s 4th-grade classroom. We love to use our extra classroom space for flexible seating and blended learning. Students use various learning methods to become the best learners and discover what amazing things they can accomplish.

My love for teaching started at seven when I told everyone I wanted to be a teacher in first grade. I received my elementary education degree from Quincy University for grades 1-6. After college, I was a literacy and English language learner teaching assistant for the Lindbergh School District for two years. After gaining even more knowledge through Lindbergh, I got my job here at St. Francis. I enjoy sharing my knowledge through various teaching styles to cater to the diverse needs of all students.

I attended Eureka High School and then went on to Quincy University to pursue my passions for teaching and soccer. I was fortunate enough to enjoy soccer throughout college while receiving my teaching degree. In my free time, my husband and I enjoy snowboarding, attending St. Louis sports games, and doing anything outdoors. My students also know how much I love my morning coffee!

For the past three years, I have witnessed firsthand the wonderful community that St. Francis of Assisi is. Everyone has been welcoming, making it a place I never want to leave. I have learned so much from each student, parent, and coworker, and I look forward to learning more in the coming years.
