“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.”

- Brad Henry.

Hello! I am Mrs. Klages and welcome to St. Francis of Assisi’s 4th grade classroom. We love to use our extra classroom space for flexible seating and blended learning. Students use a wide variety of ways to learn in order to become the best learner they can be and figure out what amazing things they can accomplish.

My love for teaching started at the early age of seven when I told everyone in first grade I wanted to be a teacher. I went on to receive my elementary education degree for grades 1-6 from Quincy University. After college I was a literacy and English language learner teaching assistant for Lindbergh School District for two years. After gaining even more knowledge through Lindbergh, I got my job here at St. Francis. I love being able to share my knowledge through various teaching styles to meet the needs of all students.

I attended Eureka High School and went on to Quincy University to pursue my passion for teaching and soccer. I was fortunate enough to enjoy the game of soccer throughout college while receiving my teaching degree. In my free time I enjoy snowboarding with my family, puzzles, and doing anything outdoors. My students also know how much I love my morning coffee:)

For the past two years, I have been able to see what a wonderful community St. Francis of Assisi is. Everyone has been nothing but welcoming, making it a place I never want to leave. I have learned so much from each student, parent, and coworker and look forward to learning more in the coming years.
