Hello! I am Mrs. Wendl and welcome to St. Francis of Assisi’s 3rd Grade Classroom, where we hope to help all kids become lifelong readers and learners. I love to integrate subjects and have the students participate in meaningful and engaging projects. One of the coolest projects we have completed is our PokéSaint project, in which we incorporated religion, history, presentation skills, and research skills.

I graduated from Fontbonne University with a Bachelors of Arts, and I am certified to teach early childhood and elementary education.

I graduated in the Spring of 2022 with a Masters of Science in Education, Literacy, from Missouri State. I have received my Reading Specialist certification. For now, I would love to stay in my own classroom but look forward to utilizing all my new knowledge of literacy in my current classroom.

I have been married since June 2020. My husband and I like to travel and go biking. In my free time, I like to read, bake, work on jigsaw puzzles, and German dance. I love spending time with my family and spending time at the lake. We officially became a family of three on July 31st when Matthew was born!

This is my 7th year being a teacher and all 7 years have been at SFA. I have loved every minute of it and it feels like home!
