Hi there, and welcome to Second Grade!

What a fun grade to be in! I love teaching and watching little minds shape and mold into wonderful little readers, writers, mathematicians, and more! Kids have a tendency to teach us many important things as well, so I appreciate every moment with them.

Our school is constantly researching different techniques and ideas that will meet our students' interests, learning styles, and needs. In the second grade, our students receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. It’s so beautiful to watch them grow in their relationships with God!

I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Texas State University in 2010, but I married and started a family soon after. Teaching was put on hold for a while so that I could stay home with my boys. I have worked at St. Francis for the past 4 years as a sub and then an aide. This is my first year as a teacher, and I couldn’t be more excited! I love the strong sense of community and belonging that St. Francis has, and I am so blessed to be a part of it. I have 2 sons (5th and 3rd grade) attending St. Francis. Our family loves going camping, being outdoors, and fixing campers and the new-to-us home we moved into last summer. We are from Texas and go home every chance we get!

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
